Saudi Embassy Attestaion
Guide: Saudi Apostille – Attestation
For Saudi Arabia (KSA), the attestation process includes three types of attestation based on your requirements. This process ensures that documents meet the required standards of authenticity for legal or official use in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, including employment, business, education, or family-related matters:
1) MEA Apostille: (All documents category)
An Apostille is a form of authentication issued for documents to be recognized in foreign countries that are part of the Hague Convention of 1961. It serves as an official certification verifying the authenticity of signatures, seals, or stamps on a document, ensuring its legal validity abroad, including in Saudi Arabia.
For more details, visit the MEA Apostille page in the Services section.
2. Saudi Consulate Attestation (Non-Educational Commercial Documents)
All non-educational/Commercial documents are attested by the Saudi Consulate in Mumbai, following these three major steps:
- Notary Attestation
- Maharashtra Mantralaya (Home Department)/CoC
- Saudi Consulate Attestation
P.S. The Saudi Embassy is currently not attesting documents in Delhi, and all documents are being attested by the Saudi Consulate in Mumbai.
3.Saudi Cultural Attestation (For Educational Documents)
This is specific to educational documents, where the Saudi Cultural Bureau authenticates educational certificates and records for use in Saudi Arabia.
1. HRD Attestation
2. MEA Apostille
3. Saudi Cultural Attestation (Subject to University Verification)
P.S. To qualify for Saudi Cultural Attestation (Embassy Attestation), HRD Attestation on document(s) is/are mandatory.
